LAVENDER LACE – March 2010

Hey, everyone! Ceud Mile Failte! (a hundred-thousand welcomes!)  Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you all! Have a super day, but be safe! We do not want you to miss Tartan Day in April!

Okay, I said I would write again in April – but it has been a great beginning to our year and I need to tell you all about it!

We had SUCH a great time in Florida!

We RV’d to Pensacola and spent a couple of days at the Renaissance Fair in Pensacola. We met some fantastic people and had SUCH a great time! It was the first time that George had worked with us and he enjoyed himself, as well. He returned home full of ideas and I know Lavender Lace will benefit. :D After we left Pensacola, we went to Fort Walton Beach and spent the week visiting my parents and their friends at a retirement community there. We stayed in one of their apartments and "set up shop", didn't do too badly, either! More great people there – I am so happy my parents are surrounded with such good friends that keep them WAY too busy!

George and Amanda had to leave us midweek to head home for work and the animals. :(

Kelsey and I went on to Panama City the following weekend for the Scottish Highland Games there and had a super Saturday! The water was deep in the field on Friday, but drained off pretty well overnight. The weather was a bit breezy, but we are pretty prepared for such things and even were able to help another vendor with some tie downs for their tent. We were able to go to the beach for about an hour, then on to Alabama. That was to visit my sister and her husband for a day before heading home.

I have had just enough time to do paperwork, make orders for replacement items, do laundry and get back on the road to Georgia for Scottish Heritage Days at Fort King George! Whew! This is the first time I will be totally by myself for an event and I am a bit nervous, but excited about the event!

I will get a couple of weeks to make jewelry and regroup before our first April date, the Tartan Fest at the State Museum here in Columbia!

So, we are off to pack the RV for the road!

Yours,

Sabrina Robertson
